Three Little Birds, inspired by Bob Marley's music, is a lively and adventurous show for young audiences. It teaches viewers about facing their fears and not allowing them to hold one back from enjoying life, friendships, and everything truly good around them. All of this is excitment is well placed within the Island of Jamaica, introducing children to Jamaican culture, folklore, and everyday life.

This show was a privilege to work on for many reasons, but especially for the opportunity to introduce a new generation to the works and messages of Bob Marley.
In spite of being far from the tropical soil, I wanted to incorporate a few details to help bring the island to audiences and to help familiarize children with things of Jamaican history and culture. This production included a lot of running. To provide an elevated and creative, yet safe space to do so, I designed the stage to portray the Island's geography while incorporating accented references to the country's flag. Placed downstage, in the midst of all the action, was a section of astroturf to allow for an immersive seating space for young viewers. Children could experience the story as characters ran, danced, and interacted on every side of them.
At certain moments, kids could catch and throw back prop mangoes that would be tossed in scenes where Duppy Bird was up to mischief.
